Thing you should know

Eligibility

You can apply for an HSBC Teens account if you:

  • are aged 11 to 17
  • hold a valid Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card (HKID) 
  • have a Hong Kong birth certificate
  • are residing in and physically present in Hong Kong when you submit the application
  • have a parent who is an existing HSBC customer with access to the HSBC HK App

Account upgrade at age 18

When you turn 18 years old, follow these steps to upgrade your account base on your needs:

  1. Complete and sign the 'Integrated Account Conversion Form (PDF)'
  2. Mail it to The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, P O Box 72677, Kowloon Central Post Office, Kowloon, Hong Kong or drop it off at your nearest branch
